Terms of Service

These terms cover the LootRune website, the LootRune newsletter and email alerts, and the LootRune Discord bot (together, “the service”). By using the service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

1. What the service is

LootRune is a free service that lists games that are temporarily free to keep, and game deals, collected from stores and public data sources such as the Epic Games Store, GamerPower and IsThereAnyDeal. It costs nothing to use.

2. No guarantees

Giveaways and prices are set by the stores and can change or end at any time, sometimes early. We try to be accurate, but listings may be late, incomplete or wrong. Always check the price and terms on the store page before you claim or buy. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and may be changed, paused or discontinued at any time.

3. Third-party stores and links

Claiming a game or buying a deal happens on the store’s own site, under that store’s terms and privacy policy. LootRune is not affiliated with Epic, Valve, GOG, IsThereAnyDeal or any store, and is not responsible for their products, accounts, keys or refunds. Some links are affiliate links; see our affiliate disclosure.

4. Newsletter and email alerts

You can subscribe with your email address and unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Emails are sent through our email provider, beehiiv. Sponsored content in emails is always labeled. How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy.

5. Discord bot

The LootRune bot posts free games in channels that a server admin chooses and offers commands like /freegames and /wishlist. To send wishlist price alerts, the bot stores your Discord user ID and the games you add; remove them anytime with /wishlist remove. Don’t use the bot to spam, harass or break Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. We may limit or block use of the bot that harms the service or other users. Server admins can remove the bot at any time.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t try to disrupt, overload or break into the service. You may reuse our free-games feeds (JSON and RSS) with attribution and a link back to LootRune.

7. Content and trademarks

Game names, images and trademarks belong to their owners and are shown only to identify the games. Price data is provided by IsThereAnyDeal.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, LootRune and its operator are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from a missed, changed or incorrect giveaway or deal.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
